2nd Week Update

· By this point,, students should be using their composition notebooks in class every day.

· Our 1st test of the year is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, September 5th and will cover Lab Safety and Lab Equipment. 

Notebook Quizzes  – Fridays 

The quiz covers that week’s Buck Bytes/classwork/labs/homework.    (Students answer Buck Byte (Bellwork) questions in notebook every day at the beginning of class.)

5 - 10 questions are randomly selected and students are allowed to use their notebook.  This should be an easy grade if the students have kept up with their work and completed it each day.

For example, a quiz question would read:  "From Monday, 8/26, what was the answer to Buck Bytes #2?"

Classroom Wish List

We use lots of supplies for our activities and labs!  The following is a list of items currently in need:

Lab Donations ($1 - $5)
Lysol wipes
Baby wipes
Paper Towels
Cardstock Paper (white &/or light colors)
Boxes of Latex-Free Vinyl Exam Gloves
Dish soap
Ziplock bags (all sizes)
Index Cards
Disinfecting Spray (like 409 or Lysol)

Homeroom Reminders (ALL 7th Grade Homerooms)

1.  All students need to bring in a self-addressed, stamped envelope.  These will be used to mail final report cards.

2.  Awards day for 7th grade is Tuesday, May 21st at 8:30 am in the gym.

Here are some homeroom reminders for 7th grade for the remainder of the school year:

1.  If your student would like to order pizza for lunch on 5/17, the money is due by Monday, 5/13 at 8 am.  $3 for 2 slices of pizza and a drink.
