Troubleshooting
Occasionally you may have trouble working with your microscope. ReadProblems 1-3 and choose a solution from the choices listed at the bottom (Solution A, B, or C?)
Problem 1: Image is too dark!
Problem 2: There’s a spot in my field of view…even when I move the slide the spot stays in the same place!
Problem 3: I can’t see anything under high power
Solution Choices:
a. Remember the steps! If you can’t focus under low power and then medium power, you won’t be able to focus anything under high power.
b. Adjust the diaphragm, make sure your light is on, make sure your objective is clicked into place.
c. Your lens is dirty. Use lens paper, and only lens paper, to carefully clean the objectives and ocular lens.
