Cell Cycle

Cell Cycle
1.      Interphase – chromosomes are copied; the cell spends most of its time in this phase
2.      Mitosis
a.       Prophase - the chromosomes condense (become visible)
b.      Metaphase - chromosomes line up along center of the cell
c.       Anaphase- the centromeres split and chromosomes begin to separate
d.      Telophase - A nuclear envelope forms around each set of chromosomes
3.       Cytokinesis – division of the cytoplasm
